Here are some audio and video recordings that cover a wide variety of different guitar styles. There are Jazz, Classic Rock, Experimental and Pop tracks featured and they range from personal recordings through to session guitar work undertaken for various music industry clients. I will be adding new audio and video files to this page every month as I complete new recordings.
Most of the recent recordings were made using software digital amp simulators such as Scuffham S Gear, which is my personal favourite. I also used a variety of different impulse responses for the speaker simulations in the recordings. I particularly enjoy Cabir.eu and Ownhammer IRs. I hope you enjoy these recordings.
The audio recordings in this first selection were mostly recorded in my home studio for personal use or as demos. They range from jazz standards such as ‘Once I Loved’ and ‘Blue Bossa’ through to some experimental soundtracks. Most of the guitar work was played on a Levinson Blade R4 from 1987 and also various Stratocasters amd Telecasters that I’ve owned over the years. I didn’t use regular amplifiers for some of these tracks and instead employed digital amp simulators such as Scuffham S Gear.
